I bought a tejon with the extra 5" coil and glad I made the decision. i also bought a 1236X2 fisher which is in it's way but I want to stick with the tejon and learn it this time.
I went through a lot of detectors and decided turn on and light is the best way.Maybe there are better ones made out there but they aren't as light. the 1236X2 that I bought - I made a deal with richard at backwoods.
I am not going to even open it but just send it to him and let him give me an honest price and give me a credit line for it.

I will need headphones and a pinpointer. I think it's a good idea. anyway I am going to download the tejon manual and read up on it until it gets here.
I am done buying and selling left and right and want to rest for awhile.
Funny thing-I know you will drool over this but earlier this year I went to letchworth state park which is noted for it waterfalls and beautiful gorge.
that's where this big dam is and they were doing something with the dam and all the water on the backside was drained.I was thinking of the hundreds of years that the river was traveled on and was now the bottom exposed but there was no way in hell that I know of that I could get down there.
I think I took some pictures somewhere and If I do I will post what it looked like.
Think of all the pioneers that traveled in canoes up the river there and it was the site where indians lived for centuries.

What a sight that was-If I could only have found someway to get down there. At least 150 to200 ft drop fmaybe more much more for as far as the eye could see. I might have got down there but never could have come back up without a helicopter.

I used to go there with my parents and sister when we were kids back in the 1960's.
Might make for some good exploring. The Tejon should be the ticket!!
Happy Hunting.

Nice pics.
It is beautiful there.
I'm thinking of getting a canoe and getting to some places you can't drive to.

I think I am going to find something really great this year,
goodhunting and stay happy.

Yeah.. I get a little ticked off with their aloof attitude and didn't like the MDI this year at all, but I like my Silver umax and Royal Sabre. I guess that's what counts-a decent metal detector with a great warranty.
