The last few weekends here in Pa. have been snowy and cold. We had a break today with temps in the 40's and no snow on the ground.
I went back to the wooded area where I found the Barber quarter 3 weeks ago and started with the Andy S pattern and TTF. The first signal
was a 12-20 @ 4 inches that sounded real smooth so I dug down to that depth and with the help of the Garrett Pro Pointer I located a tiny,
ornate looking flower. It appears to be silver but not sure. Four more followed (that was an interesting 10 minutes!). I don't think I'll ever hunt again
without a good hand held pinpointer, it saves so much time. The very first coin signal- a 12-47 @ 5 inches produced the 46 Washington so I put the brakes on
and just hunted with short sweeps and focused on every sound. I've had my E-Trac for 3 months and I'm just amazed with it. It cuts through the ground like a laser, finding
coins right next to iron and wads of foil. Finding the old nickels is a lot of fun but the ground here just destroys them. I have a hunting buddy that tumbles his Indians and buffalo's
then spends them at the Wawa. If you ever get a crusty Indian in your change it was probably one of his LOL.
Another great day swinging the Minelab. Happy hunting to all.
