After a couple of years away from detecting, I'm back with a new Vaquero! No way I was going to get back into detecting with anything other than a Tesoro. I'm going to be trying wireless headphones so that will be new for me.

Good to be back!

Dan

Welcome back and you will love the Vaquero It is a deep machine but loves Iron but once you learn its language its a killer . Traded mine just recently for two older Tesoros the "Bandito" and a Silver Sabre II Both have true all metal mode and Threshold which I like and they are light as a feather as well

I'm glad you're back.

Let us know how the wireless headphones workout for you.

Good choice on two really good detectors. The Tesoro Compadre or Silver

Good to have you back , we all look forward to your finds

welcome back...!!!! I also just got back into the game after 10+ yr. hiatus (?). Dusted off my 20+ yr old Golden Sabre II and have been back at it for about 2.5 months now and having a blast.......

I got back into the game this year also. I had quit awhile back because my fishing boat sat all summer. By the way, I have only been fishing twice this year!

I quit because I developed arthritis in my hips. I couldn't crouch down to dig anymore. Sad part is, I was only 48 at the time. I was popping 2 ibuprofens a day just to function. Then a buddy of mine with chronic neck pain and bad knees from running bought an infra-red sauna. It fixed his issues. So I bought one, and spent the winter of 2011-12 1 hour a day in the sauna. Fixed me right up. I'm 50 now, doing 100 km bike rides every week and feeling like a teenager inside. Getting back to detecting is a little overdue, but I came across a brand new Vaquero on Kijiji so I'm back in the game. My kids are older now, and they're interested now too.

That

Yes, just an hour a day at the maximum temperature. I didn't lose much, if any, weight, although dropping a 10 lbs would have been a nice bonus. I didn't get any therapy. The sauna did the job. I have 3 friends all around my age (50) that had a variety of aches and pains which were cured by sitting in the sauna. It's our little fountain-of-youth secret!

I strongly recommend that your friend spend the money and get a sauna. He doesn't need a fancy one, I only spent $600 on mine.

Im a Tesoro fanatic, but have to admit the Tracker 4 is a great machine. I wished I would have held on to mine, but may still pick one up. I love the multiple tones and they have some depth to them, the meter is worthless but a great machine nonetheless.

Welcome back both of you!
