We spent the week in New Mexico at Albuquerque and Santa Fe touristing, an 8 hour drive from our home. Santa Fe is only 58 miles from Albuquerque. Here's the sun coming up over the mountain behind us in Alb. Nights were 38-40 and days were 70 -75, what great weather.

I detected 2 long mornings and dug the following coins, none silver and 5 cars. There was very little jewelry to be found, guess the old home is the best after all. I did get a sterling St Christopher medal and 2 Sacky dollar coins.

We drove through Hatch, NM the world's capitol for chilis. Here's some in the fields ready to be picked.

And here's some drying on the roof as well as strung up. We bought a mid size string of them for 5 bucks, pretty good deal.

Had a good time, visited a railroad museum, a neat garden center for my wife, ate a lot of great Mexican food and visited with an online friend. The cities were very crowded and not knowing the area I had problems going to sites (driving and map reading). But I made it and detected about 2 dozen parks. I know there's a club there that works the parks also. Glad to be home, Steve in so az

like taco Bell but real food :) We have a lot of genuine Mexican food here but still like it elsewhere. If you 2 ever get down this way we'll show you great Mexican food ! Steve

Good to see you made it home safe. That sure is a pile of coins you found. Nice haul.
