Some of you know I bought a new BH300 to take on my vacation. It was the deepest machine I have used. In fact when I super tuned the machine I got wore out digging. I found that simply by running in all metal with high sensitivity I could still get as deep as I wanted to scoop. Total time in the water was 6 hours. In those 6 hours targets were few. I believe under 20 targets were scooped. Mostly tabs a couple of zincs and dimes. I could tell I wasn't on the most used beach. Good targets were very easy to identify over the threshold hum. I would go along with the hummmmmhummhummmmm then zip zip! I found it east to keep under the water and swing. I was usually at waist deep in the water. It took me 7 years to get back to the beach. It will probably be another 7 before I go back. So if your interested I have it for sale in the classifieds for cheap. This way you can take it on vacation. The next time I go to the beach I will buy another Beach Hunter to take.

I was there for 7 days and did not get one chance to hit the water. My brother and I were forced to hunt at night due to family things. Getting into the ocean at night wasn't all that appealing to me.

We sure enjoyed meeting up and hunting with you on that one night. We did pretty good on the coins and stuff. I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to hunt that Friday night together. We ended up hunting for about an hour or so at another beach close to the bridge going into Destin from Ft. Walton.

On the Saturday we left, I went to the beach to have one last look as we had to be out of the condo by 10am. I cried at what I saw. Crystal clear water and no wave action. I could have spent hours hunting the water. I think the tide was low as well. However, we had to go.

If you ever get into Dallas, give me a call. We'll hunt the lakes.

I had to do the family thing that Friday night. Especially being the last night there. I did get back to our room about 10pm so I went down to the dry and found the .925 ring. It was pretty big with no stones.
I too didn't get in the water at night. I guess this Missouri boy was scared of the unknown monsters waiting for prey! Really I was!!
Even though we mostly hunted for those 5 hours or so it was nice to share the hunt together. I went on to find about $10.00 in clad for the trip. We used the quarters for laundry as I found a lot of them.
Be sure if I get to Texas I'll be calling you to take me to your local hunting waters.
Give a shout to your brother for me too.
