What a nightmare the weather in Holland. 15 degrees celcius in MAY!

Tried detecting there but somebody of my wife's family left the batteries in the machine [4 years] and it seemed deceased. next year I will bring my stuff from here.

HH, Eric.

When I left Germany, July-15-1972, it was snowing and below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. I always said if I witnessed a cold day in July, I'd change my sinful ways, but could not live up to the promise at the time due to being young (1:geek: and foolish. Thank goodness I have somehow managed to live to be older (56) and foolish. lol

Yes Mick, just a pitty. Next year I am there again and will bring my stuff from home. Also planned to go fishing but that also didn't happen.

For the rest....had a great time over there!

Thanks, Eric.

Hey Eric:wave:Glad to see ya made it back home okay!
Every time me and the wife go to Philippines and hate to leave. I could just stay in Philippines. I love it there!
Welcome back!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Me too, I have tears in my eyes when I have to leave while my wife loves to leave.

But I almost convinced her to let me try to live there for a year. Just To try..... The nature is soooo beautiful there;)

Eric,

Sad to read that your detector wasn't working for you in the PI's. Margie and I will be leaving in late June for our visit. It's been 4 years for us also. Way to long, but I love Cebu and our trips there. Next spring, 2011, we make the big move for good. That's right, we are moving there for good. Been planning the move for 3 months now, and continue to do so. What area do you and your wife go to?....

Ned

Ned, my wife and I love Cebu where she studied. But all her relatives are in Mindanao so mostly we are there. When we would live there, we both would opt for Cebu as well.We are planning to move there for a year within 3 years. After all my nagging and crying, my wife Lanie granted my wish.Let my know Ned, we will visit you!

Might meet Metalhead as well:laugh:

Eric.

Oh yeah!:super:Cebu is our favorite, too!:thumbup:Hope to retire there some day in the future. If we're all there at the same time we'll have to hit those beaches with the detectors.:detecting: They've got that high karat gold jewelry over there, too!:yo:Happy Hunting!:)

One thing I'de like to do is start a detecting club in Cebu. From beaches to old Spanish Watchtowers ( for warning the locals of pirates approaching ), the places and options for metal detecting in the Philippines is endless. And one needs to remember, there is a total of 7,700 islands, roughly that is, that make up the whole Philippines Country / Islands......

You guys are welcome to my place anytime I'm there. Barangay Sagay / Toledo City, Cebu.......Pearl of Southeast Asia...... :)

Unya ako mobisita ka... Yes, it's nice there and they even have some history. When I would live there I think I will contact the authorities and try to detect construction sites in city centre's and donate the finds.

Let's keep in touch... Metalhead you too!

Eric.
