Anyway the Excalibur II took me three days to understand its tones on Thursday Morning wow ! The Excalibur was finding coins in the 10- 12 inch range easy. Myrtle wasn't hopping as much as I thought it would be but all in all I love the detector ! I tried to upload some pics but the files were too big.

Perfectly normal, to be a bit overwhelmed with the unit. 1st hunt with mine, I was wondering, omg, what did I do? I think I got some coins and junk, I HATED IT! 2nd hunt, silver ring and my faith was growing, got my attention. 3rd hunt the windows of heaven opened for me! 3 pieces of gold in 2 areas. 14K chain, .925 chain, 18K religious medallion and 14K nugget cross pendant, with diamond, savvy? Lets see some pics mate! Git 'er sized! Stay with it, things get better with some reps!

Go to http://photobucket.com/ and down load you photos into there. They will automatically resize them for a message board and then just copy and paste here in the message. It is really easy.

I have two PI Pro's and have always been satisfied with their results, especially depth.
I've had an older Surfmaster PI also that I never used due to poor testing results.
Mr. Bill, just did his infamous tune on it, and I just took it outdoors and did a fast air test.
A nickle at 15"(eyeball measurement) gives a decent whisper, on my soon to be 61 yr. old ears. I can still hear a hit around 18" with a nice slow pass.
I'll give a decent report in the near future, now that NJ's seasons on the roll.
I'm gonna even get him to fine tune my PI Pro's. I feel detectors are like engines that come off the assembly line, one out of thousands will come out balanced for peak performance, detectors gotta be the same.
