...first off,I stopped at Otsego Lake State Park-(its on the list of parks open to detecting)and found 1-quarter,and an earring WITH DIAMONDS IN IT
(didnt need my detector for that-it was layin right on top of the sand!),Then I proceeded to Mackinaw and my hotel-The beach was LOADED with modern coins-Also found a small Tonka cement truck buried at about 12";found 1-small gold-color gaming token too.I tell ya all something:It is really a workout walkin in that sand with a cast on-Limping the way I am;the way it throws my whole body out of kilter tryin to get around on that thing-After about 3 hours or so;I was ready to call it quits-The old body was REALLY singin the blues!!
...I will be glad to get out of this cast;let me tell ya...They said on the news up Mackinaw way last nite to enjoy this warm weather while we got it...They are forecasting a high of 26 degrees and snow by Friday in the Petoskey area...
