saw one of the biggest bulls in the state.we got up here Friday to scout and try for some grouse and snowshoe rabbits.I got three grouse and Leon got two big rabbits.First day{Saturday]was raining pretty hard yuck just what a flintlock hunter wants to see.by ten it started snowing so we came back to the camp for lunch.Then the wind stated to blow and when we got back there was no power[no lights,no water]but we been going up there for over twenty years and know to pick up water.Sunday stated out with the wind around 20-30 mph.with a light snow.By ten the wind got up to 40-50 with gusts 50-60 and snowing.We went back to the truck and got the shotguns to hunt for birds cause the deer went down into the thick pine to bed till the storm blow over.Sunday stated out just real windy no snow,around noon it started to snow again.Then came the whiteout,you could only see about 30 feet in front of you.We where about 15 miles from the main road and decided to got out of there.Good thing I sharpen the ax we had to cut four blow downs in the road.Got to the tared road just in time,the road grew were cut tree in front of us.Monday,rain,rain and more rain,yuck.Were was 14 light co.trucks and 8 tree trucks at the store.They came up from Ma.Conn.and R.I.Three days without power,but the wind died down and the rain and snow stooped.We saw deer the rest of the week but couldn't get a good shot.Did get a good shot of this bull.This is the biggest bull I've seen up there.Check out the beard and rack on him.Couldn't get a good shot of him,there just coming out of the rut and I didn't want to push my luck trying to get a better shot.Guess I'll have to get my deer in Ma.this year.The last photo is a shot on the way up to the great northwoods.Enjoy.PS hey Garv you back from your honeymoon and want to do that estate.Oya ower friend Garv got married last weekend.
