Back from a weekend jaunt...

with my bride of 19 years. Stayed at a couple of great hotels for cheap(thank you priceline.com), visited a beautiful area of the state, and got to worship at the church I was brought up in. Thought I'd post a couple of photos of the waterfalls we visited. The road that took us past all the falls was built in the '30's by the CCC. The "crowning glory" of the road is "Crown Point" a 180 degree vista that looks east and west along the Columbia River. No detecting, but lots of time spent with my beautiful bride!

Multnomah was one of the falls that we visited. The picture didnt turn out so hot, so I didnt post one of that fall. I cropped it a bit to clean up some of the glare. Have you been there too?

I was under the impression that there wouldnt be much to find at one, since times were so spartan. Just wondering if you might have had a different experience.

Found IH pennies and Barbers. Maybe these were from something there before the CCC Camp. Found Mercs and Wheaties in teens, twenties, and thirties and most in good shape. Think I got some tax tokens also.
