BACK AT OLD HOMESITE AND THEN OLD BALL PARK

Haven't been out for awhile, got everything ready and went back to my 2 favorite places.Started at the old homesite, talked to the owner for awhile, got some great history on the place. He showed me a heavy ring mounted to a large cedar tree out front and said they used to tie the horses up to the the tree using the ring.Started there, nothing came forth,so did my thing around the home, got back to the garden area and an old smoke house ,small log cabin, dug a wheat, worked out away from the home and some more wheats,They had an old blacksmith barn out back and I decided to hunt it,glad ,I was able to come up with 2 ladies to come home with me.LOL..introduced them to my wife,we are one happy family.A 1923,and a 1926.thought for awhile the wheats were all I was going to find.
Headed for the ball field, found 2 golds last time I was there.and after a couple hours had 2 rings ,silver this time, but an awesome day and two awesome hunts.Just a note, when i got to the old ball field,it had been scrapped and i tried the old piled up dirt first, found clad only.Worked my way to deep left field, and both rings were about 20 feet apart.Got home cleaned the rings one looks like it may be junk,I'll check it ,but the other ring is a nice find for me.This makes 6 rings from this ball field, and old high school torn down and converted to an elementary school, but the ball fields were left intact. The guy next door told me,that they used to have men's tournament softball games there,so I think I still have some future finds..we'll see. Thanks for looking

Nice! Thats good its scraped! and good info from the old guy next door! big rings in there perhaps, maybe even a chain or two...nice work on the finds!

It was scuba, haven't been out for awhile,so the weather was good,i felt good, and put my postive attitude hat on,went for the GOLD,but I will settle for SILVER..Took it real slow today, actually had another small junk ring, silver plated ribbed wedding band.About $4.50 in clad,so all in all thanks I had a great day.my favorite dig is the merc, just one of those things I love to see, when i pull back that flap.70% rain tomorrow, but wednesday I have a couple of new places that may produce some older coins.Public works supervisor just tore down an entire city block of very old buildings and has given me permission to hunt, now that the hard hat equipment is out of the way.Fresh scraped ground has been good for me in the past, but you never know, just anticipating some old coins or ?
