Hadn't been out in a while here in socal. This one was a heart stopper.
Looks like 3-4 carat diamond. Can it be real? Gromet has his doubts.
Says 925 on back of earring. Biggest rock I've found so far regardless.

For your sake, I sure hope so :) Mine wasn't...

This one almost gave me the big one...

I don't know the volume of your diamond finds but a Moissanite/Diamond testing kit might be a good idea. I found one that costs $229.00. It's 2 testers... jees... that's expensive! Each tester is about $119.00.

If your interested here is a link http://www.goldtesters.com/moiss001.htm

Scroll a little bit down for the Moissanite/Diamond testing kit.

BTW: I hope it's real! Either way it's a nice find!

I see detectorists that use diamond testers but if the stone is a Moissanite, the tester will not read it, thus indicating it's a CZ or just another fake stone. If it's a Moissanite it is worth almost as much as the diamond! Although it is fabricated or "grown"; Moissanite is not a cheap stone!

This is just an FYI to all

I have found a couple of nice "hog studs" like that in .925 and my czcheckpoint says no bueno on the diamond gig. Nice BLING-BLING just he same, looks real fine in the scoop.
