Well, I went to the local park about 1 mile from my house today to go detecting. Nails, pull-tabs, misc scrap. I kept getting mixed signals. Sweeping one way I got a high ping but sweeping another I got a low ping. My Elite 2200 said I found a $0.50 piece that turned out to be a copper or brass washer. It then said I found a quarter but it was a heavily rusted fencing staple. I found many pennies, a few dimes and then as it was getting dark I got a signal of a quarter. It was down the embankment next to the lake. That was where I found most of the pennies and dimes. I guess people drop items and gravity nabs them and takes them away. Anyway, I used my Fiskars plastic trowel and saw "an aluminum bottle cap." Remember when soda came in glass bottles and they were sealed with aluminum screw caps? I pulled it free of the moist soil and realized it was a ring. It was too dark to examine it at the park, so I took it home and rinsed it off and it is a 925 heavy man's ring. As chance woudl have it, it is just my size.

I ain't no "silver virgin" no more.

Congratulations, Mark. If YOU can be deflowered silverwise, then there's hope for all us others!
