b.h legacy 3300

just bought a b.h. legacy 3300 on ebay whats the difference between it and the discovery 3300? i hope it pinpoints good the ace 250 with the stock coil gives me hell so i bought the sniper coil which is great and that what i use on the 250 now. thanks

The Legacy and Discovery look like the same beast to me...I think this is yet another example of the same detector in a different color package...Bounty Hunter makes the same detector, and packages it differently and calls it a different name for different companies (Wal-Mart, Cabella's, Bass Pro Shops, Radio Shack, ect.)...My Pioneer 202 and 505 series were the same as the Quick Draw II and Sharp Shooter II. The 3300 has gotten some great reviews...if you find one at a good price, I would pick one up.

Hi,
I had a few 3300 and they worked really good But I heard that the newer 3300 made the ground balance pre-set in the discrimate mode.
The old 3300 when you tune the ground balance it also effects the Motion mode.Have you tested yours to see if the ground balance works in both modes?
