Starting to find the same thing when I go detecting
I find a lot of pennies and nickles (no Loonies or twoonies), & pull tabs. Every once in a while a Gold ring 
or some type of jewelry. It seems to me that everyone with one of those fancy detectors, discriminate out so called junk and head for the quarters, dimes etc... Or they go through an area at lighting speed with their coil 6" off the ground
