Just wanted to put in a positive plug for the Tesoro service department! Talked with Rusty about fixing the exterior speaker on my Golden uMax. I bought it new so I have the lifetime warranty, only cost me $10 to ship priority. He told me to send the coil I use the most, or as primary for the machine and they would first check the coil for optimum performance and calibrate the machine to that specific coil - he said I should see a difference... And I cannot wait.
Last year was my first season with the golden uMax and it was great fun, found almost $200 in change, some silver and gold, and got some great exercise in the process. I still have much to learn about the way this machine operates and the effects of the various settings, so I don't feel like I need to rush out and buy another machine this year... But when I do, it will be a Tesoro... Either the new Caz (when it comes out, and it WILL be come out), or I might try another fine Tesoro (something with ground balance and a little more depth) for the less trashy areas.
