Awesome Machine!

I just recently upgraded from the quattro to the SE pro. I don't think I will ever pick the quattro up again!!! I have just been running semi auto sensitivity at 26, with all factory presets but running IM at 22. It's not turning out to be a "huge" learning curve because of the similarity to the quattro, but it will definitely take time to "fine tune" I just recently got permission to hunt an old farm house, and got talking the the old fella about the history of the property. The house sits on about 5 acres of untouched, unplowed trimmed grass, with a big 2 story barn setting right in the middle of the property. He told me the house was built in 1880, and that his mother created a dance hall in there old barn that functioned from 1925-1953. Great news for me Long story short 8 hours (3 short hunts) later I have managed 19 silver and around 50 wheat's. this place is littered with old screw caps that seem to ID very similar to Wheaties I must have dug over 100 since I have been there!

It has always been a hard transition for me between switching machines, but to find a site like this with a lot of good signals I feel like this really has sped up the learning process. Have only covered about a 1/4 of this property so I'm hoping it continues producing. I got pics of the 1st and 2nd hunt but the camera died for the 3rd (2 mercs, 2 rosies). Nothin like a great machine in combination with a great site.
HH to all. Sorry if the clarity isn't the greatest!

Im right there with you, just in awe of the machine. I found nine silver last week with my new SE pro and thought i was doing good but you skunked me!

Yeah I love the stability of this detector, and also gettin in between trash. Found a dime just about sitting on top of a pull tab! I dont think anyone has ever been to this site before, so all in all I think I just got lucky!

Now that's what I call a very productive property!! :super:

Very nice!! I know you made a great decision to upgrade your Quattro. The Quattro can definitely find silver/deepies, but it's not as proficient at it as an Explorer is. A lot of times the Quattro reads very iffy(sounds high, then low, then high, then low...etc) on the real deep, partially masked targets, where on the Explorer, that same target will sing high (fluty) crying for you to dig!!

Nothing you can do about those screwcaps. You've got to dig them if you want wheats or injuns.

Congrats,
