Awesome Colonial Pocket Spill

I was detecting my way through the woods along a stone wall headed for a cellar hole and Bam 13/45 out of nowhere. Usually an old beer can for me but not this time. The coins are a 1798 1/2 Reale, 1816 LC, a no date Drape Bust LC and a smooth copper. Stuck the probe in the hole and they just kept coming.

An incredible find Todd! A pocket spill is always nice to find, a pocket spill consisting of a handful of coins used during the early years of America with a Spanish silver mixed in is an experience that most folks will never have. When you start considering the years and types of coins it may very well be a unique or at the least extremely rare occurrence to find them all in one hole. We are very fortunate to live in an area so rich in history that makes fantastic discoveries like this possible again and again.
You have a lot more ground to cover out there and I hope your coil ends up hovering over another discovery like this soon.

Outstanding finds Todd - you guys find LC's and Reales like the rest of us find wheats and mercs
