Avoiding those tin foil signals on an At Pro

It is always wise to dig those low 40 signals. This ring came in at 43. Must have been grandma's ring because the bottom of the band was paper thin from wear and tear.

Well done, nice find.....one should note; that it is the 'thin-section' (or thinnest section of a 'loop' (ring) that lowers the resulting VDI, as well as the conductivity of the metal (alloy?) involved.

Was it silver or gold?.....any hallmarks?

p.s.....Any additional data, such as dimensions in milli-metres...diameter...band width and thickness.

I am building a data base on typical items, for a future project on better identifying in soil.

Sometimes when signal # 43 is fixed, dig, but always are always aluminum soda caps ... I think that if I excavate only half of those signals would be rich in aluminum trash. Perhaps I have left behind some ring, :confused:but I have gained health :biggrin:

I also got a beautiful high k gold ring in that appx. VDI reading. If it sounds good, dig it. Congratulations on a fine looking ring.
