Availability of a digi search meter these days?

I hunt mostly the beach so I was never in a hurry to get a meter for my gt, but now that they don't sell em anymore I want one. Go figure. So.. are these minelab digisearch meters going to be hard to get now? I think tomorrow I'll call a few dealers and check it out. Maybe one of em will still have one for sale or maybe I'm panicking and they'll be available for a long time. I'm kinda leery about used electronics so I'd like to get a new one if possible. Any input ,as always, is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

I bought one from Ebay and recalibrated it to a 180 meter, total cost was less than 40 bucks. It works perfect. You can buy a sun ray meter brand new any day any time.. steve

Out of all the different meters that had been made for the Sovereigns the Sun Ray was the best and was a shame when they quit making them, tried others and still felt the Sun Ray was the best for IDing, good view angle and well built. Now being Minelab quit making the meters the next option is making them ourselves, try to find used or send the Sovereign to Joe Patrick and have one of his meters installed in the control box where the speaker was.
