auxiliary handle for sand scoop

Saw a post here about the Motus grips for sand scoops. I bought the "D-Grip" and the "T-Grip" from Green Heron Tools, (very nice people). I'm using a Diamond Head scoop with a fiberglass handle so just welding a T handle wont work. I put the Motus T grip down about a foot above the basket, angled toward my center line and back, so that when i pull up the sand dumps out easier. Works very well indeed! Pretty darn sturdy and won't pull "up" the handle but I needed to tape it down with gorilla tape to keep it from pivoting "around" the handle. I left it fairly loose till I got it just in the right position then tightened it with channel locks and taped it down. The "D-Grip" I put up higher to use as a handle for dragging the scoop. I left it a little loose so i can adjust it as needed. The Diamond Head scoop with the Motus grips makes for a very efficient tool for scooping (and dumping) sand. Went out to play around with my scoop this afternoon and found a 10k topaz ring so I'm a happy camper with a bad ass scoop.
Cheers.

Great idea Jim. I have a Diamond head scoop and it is a chore to pull a full scoop of mud and muck from a deep hole with just the bare handle. I might order the T-handle and give it a try.
