Autotune with Audio boost.... depth?

What kind of depth in the wet salt are you guys getting ? I did the trick with putting foam inside the ear cups so i can run the volume "Audio boost all the way up. Add Autotune mode and was hitting deep targets the standard discrim mode would not.

And with a high sensitivity setting! A quick flip to discriminate 0 with a slow coil speed directly over the target will normally get you a pretty good idea of target conductivity range. There are occasional times the threshold rises slightly in autotune and then in discriminate mode, nothing. A CZ is deep hunting like this, but in wet sand, digging with a big scoop, it is not easy to get good depth estimates let alone measurements. In the water it is even more difficult to estimate depth.

When i did the video test of the 4 machines this year. The CZ was the deepest of the 4. Because i got a clear solid two way hit and the other machines did not. I didn't go back and check the Autotune mode. I wish i would have..

My 1021 cz's disc mode is deeper than auto tune. I don't mind it that way, may need a tune up/calibration.

The CZ20 I had was deeper in Disc mode than in Autotune mode.

Yea jabbo, my 3d is deeper in disc also. I am curious to see if that's the case after a tune up this winter.
