Auto/Normal Tune on Bandido II uMax?

Could someone please explain how the Auto/Normal Tune function works on the Bandido II uMax? What does re-tune mean? I have a Silver Sabre uMax and Silver uMax without that function so don't really know what it does. Thanks

The 'Normal' and 'Auto-Tune' are a threshold based true all-metal modes, they are used to accept both ferrous (iron) metals and non-ferrous (not iron) metals. The Auto-Tuned all-metal mode is the mode to use when ground balancing your Bandido ll

The Normal all-metal mode is an excellent tool to use for sizing a target.
