Auto Noise Cancel vs Competition Hunting

Will the auto noise cancel features of the CTX allow the machine to automatically "shift" frequencies when being used in close proximity to other CTX's in a competition hunt (and/or other Minelab machines)? We have a big hunt coming up this weekend in Atlantic City (250 hunters, sponsored by ML) and I expect some of the attendees will be bringing their CTX's without knowing how they'll react to hundreds of other machines being run nearby. Anyone had any experience with this situation yet?

No, it will not shift frequencies on the fly. Once you set it manually, or allow the CTX to set it automatically, it is fixed to that channel until you change it. HH Randy

I use my CTX in club hunts and I do get interference from other Minelab machines unless I manually change the channel. Good luck at that hunt!
