Australia Day Week-end

aushunter

New member
Thought I do a bit of detecting on the Aussie Day Holiday and I came up trumps.
Heaps of lead sinkers, a bit of loose change and a couple gold 9ct rings, 1 junk ring.
Also a 1922 penny & 1951 half penny.
Cheers

:ausflag:Sorry about the pic's, i'm at home now so I'll try and work how to add a few piccy's.
It's a wonder we didn't bump into one another as I was up that way, then I tried Coolmunda Lagoon.
Took the boat out, did a bit of fishing then went for a dip with the Excal.
Going to try a trip down to the parents place which is in Northern NSW - Iluka/Yamba area soon and try the Yamba side
as it can be pretty busy during the holidays.
I just check out the size of the photos and they are larger than 420KB, will definetly have photo's tonight.:minelab:

Well, I hope that this will work with the piccy side of things.
I now should be able to post a few more and show what I have found in the past.

Nice lode there mate. Great target density will generally net a piece of gold 'er 2! You proved that out nicely!

Thanks GH.
The beach I hunted a month ago had pretty good results too. I found that the beach was slowly over time being washed away
and all the goodies lay on the shallow bedrock and crevices. The foreshore must of been at least another 30 or 40 metres out
and in that time a lot of people have come and gone leaving a small payload of goodies.
I mainly snorkle the little rock platforms at low tide and quite often do pretty well.
Anyway fellas, thank's once again for you taken the time too have a look & hopefully will get out a do a bit more shallow
low tide detecting.Happy hunting.
