Aussie Silver

Didn't expect this in Utah... 1941 Australia 3 pence, .925 silver coin I dug tonight at a 1900's home demo site that has produced some decent finds for a few of my friends. As usual, I am late to the party at this pounded site so I was pleased to get a decent find. Rang up as a 12-41.

The coin is 92.5% silver and smaller than a US dime but slightly larger than a 3 cent and about the same thickness. I was thinking memorial for sure because it wa so shallow. I have to remind myself sometimes not to assume based on ID numbers.

Great find!
beats the heck out of the 1942 5 cent Iceland Aurar coin I found today. lol
Happy Hunting friend and I look forward to seeing your great finds this year.

Nice one !
