Hi all ,i am getting back into the game now i have more time to spare. I am looking for an aussie coin tid chart . I had one from this forum a year or so back but it was on my old p c .
Thanks

It's still there. If you go to FAQFAQ you'll find all the info you need. Specific Aussie TID numbers, both modern and pre-decimal. What are you seeking?

Thanks Mick, I have a site a sail maker lived on from 1901 until the army moved him in 1943. After 43 the U S moved in , both armys were anti-aircraft units. The oldest coin is a 1908 sixpence plus a few 30s coppers. U S star buttons , five pocket watches ipana tooth paste tubes and a heap of spent rounds from 9mm to 20mm. I can detect the old huts and when i get sick of that i just move sixty meters and do the army stuff. The site covers about 50acres so i have some work yet, A mate has just picked up a new 705 , he was so impressed with my 70 he just had to join our family. He is an escort driver for mine trucks and gets to some remote old sites in his travels in N Q .
Regards Mark.

Sounds like an interesting site. You'll have fun narrowing down what was where on the site. it brought a bit of a smile to my face when you said how big it was. A workmate (who is tied up with the local touch footy club) asked me if I could find a lost wedding ring. Both work on the committee. The site had several footy fields on it with just as much grass area around the fields. When I asked him where he lost the ring, he said he didn't know. I asked him if he lost it on the field. he said he didn't know. I asked again if he lost it off the field and got the same answer. I said thanks a lot! It'll take me about 20 hours to cover the site. Found it in 3 hours though, plus a very nice necklace. Needless to say that the chap was pretty happy to get his ring back. (so was I.) But I thought STRUTH, it's going to take ages to find!
Anyway, enjoy your hunt.
Mick Evans.
