Aussie backyard first finds

Hi Guys,
Brought home my Teknetics Eurotek Pro last night and after setting up with a nail and a couple of pieces of jewelery, I went out in the dark with a torch and found my first treasure 'Australian 2c " after 30 secs right next to my back door. If i wasn't already struck with treasure fever I am now. Two minutes later (after I put the grass back) I found a 10c piece and a wing-nut. Will try in the daylight today and see how we go.
Does anyone out there have recommendations for further treasure hunting info on-line? - Sure would appreciate it...

Welcome! 12c....I think I had been out about 3 or 4 times before I found my first coin....the Eurotek pro is great in trashy areas...I have one with the 8" concentric coil, and it has found quite a few pre-decimal coins in trashy areas. Good luck, and remember, you still have a life outside detecting....sometimes it is easy to forget.
