i just found this site and ..der ...um.....the name ??? is it because auusies make the best metal detecors in the world ..for the yanks ?

You might be right according to some yanks. The Minelabs are without a doubt excellent detectors.
A number of YANKS go to Austarlia and a number of AUSSIES come here. So it's just a place to share knowledge, visit, and throw some bull around.
