hi all.. have any of you guys ever found a ring, and had someone come over saying thats mine, but when asked to describe said object they could not just wondering :chase:

Walk tall and carry a Big Scoop! I've got no time for such weasels. Many people ask if I've found their gold ring in jest and I always tell them that there's a long line of people in front of them who've lost the same thing.

I did hear about a little girl following a MD'er until he found a silver ring, she sweetly asked to see it and when he handed it to the little darling, she ran back to her parents yelling "It's Mine, It's Mine". What a bummer to see that even some of the young ones have been raised to be larcenous weasels. I can't imagine what the parents are teaching that little girl for values but give it another 10 years or so and you'll see her in a porn video I'm sure.:sadwalk:

BDA:cool:

Guys i get that all the time ,they come up and say that they lost their ring down the beach so to test them i get them to go down to where they said they lost it and mark out a big square around the area then i tell them to go and wait by the square and boom there gone.terry in oz:rofl::rofl::rofl::ausflag:

I have had people seriously say they lost a ring and I have located them. BUT I have also had the rif raf.

I will NOT show my finds to anyone anymore and if anybody asks what I have found I say a bit of change. I put any good finds in my booties sometimes. Nosey attendants like to look and they don't see anything!!

Not jewelery, but I've often had kids coming up saying I lost a $2 coin there. mmm HH regards Nugget.:detecting:

I wasn't there, but I was told that once a guy found a nice ring in Lake Michigan and a big goon came up and said that was his ring, the goon couldn't describe it, he just wanted it!!! So the detectorist grabbed a junk ring and threw it back into the water and said, "go get it".

treasurefiend .did he then run like a bat out of hell. lol :detecting:
