Audio 1 advantage?

maybe one of you guys can tell me the advantage of using the audio 1 instead of the normal setting Thanks for the help as usual you guys are always very helpful.

obsevtion I made this am.I have always run audio 1,well after reading somewhere Jim (upstate ny) liked normal causa the short response..I thought hmm lets try it..Ok I cheat, not at old homesites but at places like where i went a few minutes this am fore work,Local football field dating to 1950 I reckon.I run an old coin prgram, which gets the clad too_Ok I know I have hit a ring but the foil and tabs there are unreal,I choose not to digum.Normally in audio 1.when I get a hit I can drop to ironmask and if the tone stays the same result is normally a coin(or sterling ring) Ok this am first two targets clad dimes.short clipped audio signals,,Then a few minutes later I dug my first screw cap.Target close to dime ,memorial. The tone stayed the same..So I think audio 1 gives a better signature (warbling on caps) than normal, however since it is not as short may cause some misses in a lotta trash..sorry so long cs dug 4 screwcaps and normally I dig none

cover in the dixie sun, display was heating up and blacking out ,with polarized glasses on..dodo happens..cs

Might have overheated without a cover ,,Just wish I had a lighter color....cs love it for rain, sand and protectin my screen!!!!!

Charlie,
It might have blacked out anyway, however, I prefer our Silver Gray in the summertime as it is more reflective. I use Navy Blue the rest of the season.
