ATX could do very well here too. (I think)

I've got a couple of sports parks near by that are fairly new. Mostly large soccer fields, side lines, etc. On top of being fairly new, 4-10 yrs old. No alum cans sold at concession stand. Now I don't even pretend to find anything old, but it is a great place to hunt a Pulse Induction machine. Areas are so big and relatively clean the bigger the coil the better. I don't have an ATX, but I hunt it's Pappy, the Infinium. Great place to learn the sharp clipped tones of the hi/lo. Lo /hi signals. I use the stock 14" coil. But I bet the larger atx coil would do even better. Surprisingly by hunting the Pro I've found quite a few areas suitable for using a PI. I don't have to tell you guys, their might not be many busted coins to find, but there is a chance to find gold & silver.

Sounds good in theory...But!....

Hunting new or old sports parks (in my opinion) is no place for a PI machine, especially a heavy slow swinging machine like the ATX.

In a new sports park where most jewelry, if not all, will not be that deep ... with any decent lightweight VLF machine you can cover a lot of ground much faster than swinging a deep seeking heavy slowing swinging ATX.
In old parks you will dig a lot of super deep trash with the ATX... no fun!

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

And your thoughts are all true. Except you got to go with what you got. If the Atx has your largest coil, and someone needs time on it than why not? Only way to learn the tones is to hunt it.
As far as the weight, everyone works that out on their own.

Good point. Funny thing is.....there are a lot of guys looking for a machine that just has raw depth power, without the bells and whistles which often times tell you not to dig a target. The Infinium and ATX are great machines to fill in that requirement.
