ATX and Recon dead unit syndrome

Ok. I was ordered used Recon detector, and after shippment from USA to Poland (Europe) unit doesn’t work… you can't power up...

I’m owner of 4 months ATX too, (used twice), and I sold the unit from Poland to UK. After shipment doesn’t work too! Could you help me and resolve the problem? This is weird situation.

Simply weird? If they were sent working, then the shipper's probably at fault? Or, customs did their own technical investigation? Unfortunately, buying used does not always get the desired results either.

The only common thing I can think of is the batteries, are the in the holders correctly? - flat ends go toward the springs.
Are the holders inserted into the unit correctly? - small button contact up, away from the control box and goes into the battery slot first.

Page 34 has a picture, but it is not too clear.

Might try a factory reset. hold the retune/pinpoint button DOWN and then turn the detector ON.

Good luck. Hope this helps.
