ATX! 4 more rings "Audaces fortuna iuvat"

Quick hunt after work Sunday. 2 hours at a local beach. Whilst a very nice day - with little wind there was an onshore swell and the water was murky with clay!

Many parts of the beach the sand was stripped away exposing the slippery clay base.

Spent a few hours knowing there must be a ring somewhere. ....

1st target = 18ct female band, a decent size. Stuck firmly in the clay base

2nd target = huge very old silver ring, engraved in Latin (translated as) "fortune favours the bold"....I will remember that when the next Beach hunt is a slow one! Quite fitting!

3rd target: gold plated ring plating worn 99.5% away. Argh....

4th target = gold ring. ..smaller....9ct. Again less than 1 scoop deep in the clay!

4 rings....2 gold....1 silver....1 junk. And a cool motto!

I personally think the ATX - I have used the CTX3030 a lot and it lacks power compared to the ATX, sometimes the ATX is just too strong and picking up many many tiny targets....but on a clean beach, hunted out... the ATX can get down deeper. Still love the CTX also and for recent drops, it kicks A$$. Picked up a Dual Field for a test and really not used to that machine...(yet)

You are on a roll man!

No...no intention to sell. .. I am actually getting a carbon fibre shaft made to replace the garrett shaft and cams....will post pics when done!
