Hi: Tesoro Cibola users.. Is the Cibola easy to use?? Does it go deep? If so how deep, with a 9 X 8 inch spider (stock coil)?? Does it find gold & jewelrly? I use a Tesoro Silver sabre U-max detector. tahnks, Dano.

Does it go deep? How deep is deep to you? So far it seems to go as deep as a Sovereign does and the Sov is a deep machine.

Easy to use? If you can use a Silver Saber then the Cibola should be easy.

Does it find gold & jewelrly? It does If you swing the coil over gold & jewelry.

Is the Cibola easy to use?? ... Yes. Like almost all of the Tesoro's ever made with 'turn-on-and-go' design, the Cibola is very easy to use.

Does it go deep? ... Deep enough for me, for what it is and the environments I hunt in, yes. "Depth" is a difficult thing to give an honest answer to because we each perceive depth a little differently based upon the coil we prefer to use, the challenges of the ground mineralization, the settings we use, the sweep speed we use, and other factors such as the type and amount of trash at a given site.

If so how deep, with a 9 X 8 inch spider (stock coil)?? ... When I detected over in Tigard (a nearby town) the Cibola went about as deep as I was getting with my Conquistador

I love my Silver uMax, but also own a Minelab Explorer and a Cibola. The Explorer is the machine that is "collecting dust" now, but I cannot say that I prefer the Cib over the Silver.

Does the same info count for the Vaquero?

I sort of prefer the Silver

So the Silver would be better than the Vaquero?

are you using a Fixed GB Silver? Or did you get it converted by Mr. Bill? I still like the Eldorado uMax overall for some of my hunting as well as another brand of non TID detector although I also use a TID for parks, playground areas, and tot lots on occasion. I nearly purchased a Bandido ll umax but decided to pass on it. May have been my mistake.

Pap, you're up first:

are you using a Fixed GB Silver? Or did you get it converted by Mr. Bill?.. Yes, just a standard Silver
