ATTENTION SOVEREIGN OWNERS!!!
I recently bought all the original 8" CoinSearch coils Minelab found in their warehouse. This is the original coil that came on the very first Sov. I still use this coil on my original Sov, Sov XS and new GT, and feel it is the best coil for any Sov. My best depth comes from this coil. Having dug over 14,000 civil war bullets, I can attest to its depth and sensitivity. For a limited time, I am offering these coils for $150.00 plus shipping. Each coil is new and comes with a coil cover. Special! Purchase a 8" CoinSearch coil and our Dixie mod's for $225.00 and receive free shipping!

These I too recommend to those that are new to the Sovereign as they make the Sovereign easier to understand and use plus like David says they have some very serious depth once you get to know your Sovereigns. Many people may not believe me when I say I have dug dimes and pennies at 12 inches deep, but it has happen as I am sure David has seen this too. Excellent coil too learn the Sovereign with and when you do you too will see some excellent depth with these coils.

Now if I could just find one of the original 10-11 inch coinsearch coils, I could die happy!!! I would pay almost anything for one of those hummers...

Those are very hard to find Chuck. I've only seen a couple in the last 8-9 years. You might try running a wanted ad in the classifieds. GH, David@Dixie

The deepest bullets I've dug were with this coil. I still use mine on my GT, XS and original Sovereign. GH, David

An way to make these original coinsearch coils waterproof?i think i know ,but not enough to take a chance, as yet. Any way to make water tight for 3 feet?thanks, sam in ms

Sam, 3 feet would be putting a lot of water pressure on the connection. Unless it's sealed, water could get inside. These coils are foam filled and not resin filled. Therefore they tend to float. I've had mine since 1992 and have used it many times in shallow creeks with no problem. It really gets extreme depth in wet areas. The only problem is having to dig that deep, especially when water rushes into the hole your trying to dig.

Remove the cable protector (unscrews). Run a small bead of silicone around the threads; don't use too much. Tighten up (hand only) the cable protector and allow to dry 24 hours.

the coil is very buoyant though so its tiring to use underwater. I mainly used mine on ocean beaches instead of the heavier bbs coils.

I've had my original since 1992 and it's never leaked, but I only use it in fresh water and only on saltwater beaches. The silicone is good insurance Neil.
Good hunting,
David
