ATPro or ATGold ??

I was looking at a machine to use when the weather sucks and I don't want to take a chance frying my E-Trac. What else?.... the ATPro!

I know the frequency is different between the ATPro and the ATGold. Plus the ATGold is more $$$.

Would the AtGold do a good job for hitting parks, yards, playgrounds, ball parks just as good as the AtPro? For coins, jewelery, clad, silver, etc?

I am heading out to Arizona for some gold this summer. I thought about getting the ATGold for that + as a back-up to my E-Trac in the Pennsylvania soil. If the AtGold does well as a general purpose machine also, I'd probably just get that.

If the ATGold does not do decent in the Pennsylvania soil at parks, I'll probably just get the AtPro, since I'll be relying on for a foul weather back up the other 51 weeks a year, you know?

The Pro is better on coins because of frequency. Gold is more sensitiv to gold. Hope that helps!

Holler if you have more questions or want a great deal!

Both the AT Pro/AT Gold will work great for coins and most relics, however, for hunting gold nuggests or tiny tiny objects, the AT Gold is the better choice because of it's true all metal mode + threshold adjustments. The at Pro might do a bit better for coins and relics because the pro can be adjusted by adding or removing notches without depth loss, whereas the AT Gold has pre-programed the unit for gold searching, relics/coins or just coins, without being able to remove any notched. The AT Pro will ground balance to salt water, the AT Gold cannot be ground balanced to salt. And of course both are water proof. :)
