ATPro ground balance

Since the at pro has been out several years now and with the experiences detectorists have had with it I have a question about the ground balance setting..is it safe to say setting your balance down 5-10 numbers from automatic ground helps detect high conductors better? My balance runs 84-86 in soil here in WV....does it really help or best to leave it at original balance setting? Many here have much experience with it and just asking your thoughts.....thank you

Slightly positive for increased sensitivity to small targets.
Slightly negative for decreased sensitivity to hot rocks.

Thank you MikeLab....anyone else like to share their experiences using positive and negative ground balance? Would love some more feedback...ty

Negative G.B. offset = better depth on high conductors, less stability.

I use what the ground allows. When I notice a rise in falsing I back off.

For water hunting, you should also use a negative bias......sometimes down to the middle 20's in severe conditions. Don't forget to also utilize your sensitivity in high salt/mineral conditions. Too high a sensitivity in high salt/mineral conditions can mask small targets.
