ATPro Arrived Today;Found My 1st coin in 5 minutes

I received my ATPro this morning back from Garrett. I've never used it before. I shipped it to them for the upgrade the day I received it from KellyCo 2 weeks ago. Just found my 1st coin in the backyard: a dime from 1997. Also 2 old beer cans and an old nail. I'm watching the 7 tutorials Garrett has posted. I see how discrimination is so critical. I really want to get this discrimination learning curve down. And I can see how detecting is so addicting...:)

That will be one of many Scott! Enjoy the At Pro.

Yea the AT Pro will take some time to learn it all but that is part of the fun. I got mine last Friday and done one hunt with it. I think I'm really going to like it. I need it to rain here before I can do much detecting. It is really dry.

ATP is great. I am doing everything in my power to get another 1.
Big Boys Hobbies is a great place to get them.

30 seconds into using my first time detector (the AT), I hit a what I thought was a good tone. About 3 feet off the front of my steps it turned out to be a clad penny. That isn't much I suppose, but it was pretty cool to me.

As easy as that was, it has been getting even easier. Years ago I had borrowed my uncles old metal detector and didn't have any fun with it, but these newer ones are pretty sweet.

Oh, and I also used a ProPointer; I don't hunt without it.

I did find another dime today. When I was a kid I had one of those Radio Shack toy metal detectors. I found a civil war musket ball on my Grandmother's property in the Catskills with it...

You are hooked my friend. After that first find, you will become a pro in no time.

Remember to fill in all holes and just have a great time.

This is a hobby that generates a few dollars
And a lot of good times and memories.
