I'm loving the 5x8" coil in difficult conditions. For about a month I've been in a new (for me) site that is just filled with junk under the surface and in plain sight. In addition there are many obstacles to work around where a larger coil would be a pain.
Every silver coin recovered here comes out covered with sand, grit-gravel so I drop straight into a large pill bottle with some water in it. Then when I pour it out later only the silver oxide is clinging to the coin. It is an old practice of mine.
So far this is the oldest silver between my partner and me pulled from this site. This is my kind of black Friday.Yesterday it was 30 to 34 degrees but the wind was calm enough not to be a problem.
This the second 1876 quarter I've found this year with my ATPro. The first one was what I consider deep, using the stock coil in a site I've brought people to detect but the easy silver is long gone.
