ATP went nuts

My AT Pro out of the blue /all of a sudden has become completely unstable. I was hunting in the woods and I noticed that it was a bit unstable so I did a frequency shift but that didn't help. Within 20 minutes it was much worse so I reset it to factory settings, but that didn't help....changed batteries, swapped coils still nothing helps. You can tap the coil goes crazy, tap the housing...the same, goes crazy. I guess its a trip the Garrett plant for evaluation. How much do they normally charge for repairs?

Give Sue at Garrett a call. 1 800 527 4011 and she will look after you. It sounds like you might have some repairable issues. Garrett has great customer service.

Sounds like what happens when in direct hit from a cell tower. I know a park with this type of problems . Like a line going right through the whole park.

Did you check the cable connector, will do the same thing. But if tapping coil makes it sound off, yep coil problems for sure.
