Atlantic tide vs. Pacific tide

I notice alot of FL MD'ers hunt in the water,
while it seems most southern CA MD'ers hunt in the wet sand.

I got curious and looked at the tide tables at http://freetidetables.com/
for both coasts.

It appears the tidal swing is 3-4 feet in FL, while tidal swing is 9 feet in SOCAL.

Maybe folk in SOCAL don't need to water hunt cause of super low tide?

I am hunting so. Maine and I find most targets in wet sand...when I venture in water I don't have much luck at all...There is a big diffence in tides here....so I think you are very observant....I believe it is true.
