Atlantic City Beach Hunting

It is said that AC has a lot of iron on the beaches. Has anyone tried TTF there? If so please chime in and if not please give me your opinion. If TTF works for dirt---why not at the beach? FYI--I will be using my excal and my son will be using my e-trac---trying to give him an advantage on depth as I usually use TTF with an open screen. Thanks!!

yes,I have used it alot of iron for sure!you can hunt it but you will get some falsing down in the water by certain areas, but it can be done.good luck

I get my best depth on the beach by hunting in pin point, vco, mode if it starts falseing then I switch back. I also check target id's but often it's too deep for an id. Remember your beach settings will be different then inland!

Hi Boog !

Why use TTF with open screen?....

YOU SHOULDN'T ....Please don't do that......

You use TTF with An 'IRON LIMITING' MASK

KILL THE IRON.....THEN DIG ANY PERSISTENT AUDIO SIGNALS...ESPECIALLY IF THE DEPTH GAUGE SHOWS THEM AS DEEP.

As you proceed and begin to realise what are the conductive trash signal for that location you may at your discretion ignore them,

only you can be the judge of that.

One the beach / wet sand.....as with inland usage, the mask should KILL off 99% of the iron.

In Quick Screen mask out Fe 35 to Fe 27 at least on wet sand. That takes care of 99% of the iron.

You may benefit from also putting a line across the top Fe 1. to reduce wet sand chatter

Leave a gap for your silver $ if necessary.....test that if you have a $1.

A line or two for CON 1 and 2 Fe 1 up the left hand side, helps to eliminate bits of conductive crap.

A Sensitivity of max 24 should serve you well, if conditions allow....(this is wet sand talk).

As a rough rule of thumb, your anticipated depth on a typical 1 inch diameter coin sized target,

is roughly SENS. divided by two IE' Matt's 'HALF GAIN RULE', for the E-TRAC.

So construct that screen in EDIT mode if you are familiar with the process,

otherwise do what you can in QUICK SCREEN for the simple Fe 32 to 27.

and simply go back via 'detecting' button to the SMART SCREEN and accept it as your working screen.

Come back if you need help to do this in EDIT,

Unless you're familiar with the methods of EDIT and SAVING such, then it can be a little frustrating.

All the best for you and your son's day out.............Matt..........TheMarshall
