I am spending part of my vacation at Atlantic beach, N.C. Anyone done any hunting there? I have never been to the N.C. coast. Is it a rocky or sandy beach.

Just got back from there on 6/11/05.Crowds were picking up good.I only detected 2-1/2 days ==2 rings-silver and clad. nice level sandy beach.work the olw tides,then the dry areas(BIG,BIG,AREAS)Try the volleyball nets.Here is a good website.it will show the beach at the crabs claw resturant.
