AT4 vs Whites Beach Hunter for Mass & Cape Beaches and Ponds

I currently have an older Garrett AT4 (VLF discriminator) I am wondering about upgrading it.
I have seen the Beach Hunter advertised and was wondering how it might compare to what I have now.
I realize it will probably blow it away.

I am looking for something I can use in Fresh as well as Salt Water, but don't want to spend a thousand dollars.

How does the Beach Hunter compare to the Minelab and the Garrett Sea Hunter?

I can't compare machines but I can say that I really like my Beach Hunter ID. I used it on the beaches of Mexico and was digging 10 peso's at 12 inches in the wet sand and it was very stable. It's supposed to be a dual frequency machine. The only thing I can say bad about it is the coil floats. Not good for under water hunting. I don't know what White's were thinking:shrug:

I was considering the Beach Hunter, partly because a friend of mine has a dealership and will give it to me for just over cost, but it also sound like a good machine.
