I did my song,'Father, please forgive them',I asked Ruthie, the music shop owner,if she would provide the mandolin on the instrumental portion, and she did.......Now,never before have I did a song with a seasoned prodessional entertainer, but when her and I played this instrumental part of the song together,it was like we had done it for years-NO rehearsal, she went with the general structure of the song, and I'm telling ya,brothers and sisters,it was recording quality, she just KNEW how it should be played, and to have that happen with no prior knowledge of the song........It just completely blew me away..........Later,I was leading the otther players in different country/bluegrass classics,I would improvise on the lead,we would switch to backup or lead just like that.....Some folks came in to listen, one guy brought his laptop in and was RECORDING us,when we did a group version of 'Tennessee flattop box',folks were smiling and REALLY getting into our sound.....SWEET......
