My buddy and I snooped for some old coins and things today. He used the AT Pro, I used the AT Gold. Both had the 5" x 8" coil on the lower rod. We each got a silver coin and a wheat cent.

The 1941 Newfoundland Coin, had it been the double die type, would be worth about $300.00. Unfortunately, it's not, so it's worth about a dollar.

Got a nice strong signal, and out popped a nice commemorative Prince Edward Island Token!

A very welcome find up north here, a 1904 Barber Dime. And, another 1966 quarter popped out again too. A great day it was. Now if the temperatures would just drop 10 degrees, it would be perfect!

Excellent hunt, John. We hunt hard for any Barber coin down here, and you pop one up there? Nice!:beers: HH jim tn

Here's how it got here......

"Well......my theory is that a long long time ago, there lived a hunter in Montana. He one day came across papa bear, who was playing with baby bear. The hunter made the mistake of passing gas, which the the papa bear immediately heard and sensed. Well....we know what happens when you disturb bears when they are with their young. The hunter was eaten, along with his buckskin wallet, which had one Barber Dime in it. Soon, the word spread that the hunter was eaten, and a posy was set up to find the bear and kill it. The mama bear, very concerned about the posy, told her husband to head north to evade his demise. The papa bear got as far as Edmonton, where he was seen, shot, skinned and mounted on a wall. The bear, prior to being shot, had not seen any hunters for months, so when he was looking at a double barrel shotgun staring at him in the eyes, it literally scared the crap out of him. Some hundred years later, a house was built on that same spot, and the Barber Dime which had been buried long ago, was finally retrieved by Johnny from Edmonton using his AT Gold"

Only John would have done such a research to find the True Story.
What a great guy!

Wow, a Barber dime up Edmonton way, that's a rare find indeed! Liking the Newf penny also. My last I.H dated 1885 was found up in Prince Albert Sask., so those coins do manage to find their way pretty far north now and then. Finding them though is about as rare as being struck by lightening.

Yeah, that sounds about right...except you forgot to mention the role Bigfoot played in this story?...maybe toss in an anaconda or a bull shark to make it more believable though...I am ready to take this theory of yours as the truth...simpler, with no fanfare or exaggeration!! What else could it possibly be?
