AT PRO

I'm thinking about getting a Garrett AT PRO. Can I get some feedback, positive or negative from you guys that have them and are familiar with them. Right now I am using a Minelab E-TRAC and it's a great machine but i'm looking for one that's water proof in shallow water. Thanx Joe B.:detecting:

The AT pro is a great choice for shallow freshwater hunting. Mine has paid itself off many times over with gold jewelry finds from hunting lakes. Your gonna need a scoop with 1/8" holes as the pro will find the small gold earrings and earring backs with ease.

I really enjoy hunting with the Garrett AT Pro. I put the smaller 5 x 8 coil on it and found it easier to swing with almost the same depth. It is my go to machine with the 5 x 8 coil on it. Hunts in shallow water, but it feels like it wants to float compared to my Minelab Excalibur.

Buying the AT Pro is like buying 2 metal detectors for the price of one, simply because of it's ability to be used in water. The AT Pro has some some of the best target separation and tone abilities on the market today. I think it will compliment you current Minelab machine well.

I've used one my 3rd year now. Never had an issue with it and works great in water with no worries. I've had it in 4 feet of water and its fine. I think you'll like it.

The machine being waterproof is one of the main reasons i got the atp....
I've only been out with it a handful of times so far...but that's where I'm heading
The swimming holes!
I'm. Very happy with this machine, battery life is super to boot.
Some waterproof head phones, 5x8 coil and a garrett carrot. Adding to my tools coming soon.
(Also i just dont like having to run for the truck during a good hunt during a surprise rain storm)

It's a great machine for hunting on the land too. Great target separation and it is surprisingly deep. For the money, the AT Pro is hard to beat.

It will work fine on salt water beaches but not in the salt water no mater what you here!!!! WET SAND USE LOW SENS AND GROUND BAL A LOT.
