AT PRO USERS ARE YOU GETTING ANY DEPTH IN....

ARE you getting any good target depth in PRO mode ? in actually out in the field conditions.AND what is deepest you have dug so far in Pro mode?

I've dug flat buttons at around 8 to 10 inches deep one was next to an iron nail. Also dug a copper at about 8 inches deep. Our ground up here is great.

Today i was out found a copper strap about 10-12 inches.Im not into diggin that deep sometime you got to do it.

Actually I have found a lot more targets close to 6 inches or more with the Atpro in pro mode than my previous detectors(thats what is exciting to me )But for my deepest target in promode , I havnt recorded it . Im new with the ATpro and have realized its potential,Its a great relic machine. Your question about depth or the deepest U have dug with the ATpro is so common , but is a question for the people?

i didnt measure how deep a musketball was i found but I don't want to dig that deep all the time lol
it was around 3 shovel spades deep

The Reason I asked was I have a new AT PRO and had it out today for a little bit and PRO Mode to me seem to not penitrate ground has deep as STD mode was.... Then again could be soil conditions ground balance was 80 or 81,and thats up there and typical for here. And I realize to I'm still learning the alien technology on this machine, never owned Garrett before. And was wondering how fellow AT users were making out on depth in Pro mode .

My AT seems to like bullets! I've found 4 so far this year and on those targets, one was around 6" but I could lift the coil and still hit it. I actually debated on whether to dig it because I figured it was a large target. I dug it anyway and was SHOCKED when I didn't find a large chunk of iron or copper, but an all lead slug appx. 30 cal. I really haven't done a lot of measuring with my targets, but I keep telling myself I need to put some measurement marks on my pinpointer and my shovel just so I have a quick (and dirty) way to measure my depth. What I WILL say is that I have begun to carry my e-tool with me on all my ventures now!

Have got some civil war bullets at around 12" deep. Pro mode the deep sounds are not near as loud have to listen for them

Just a couple of possibilities:

Perhaps if the ground is more mineralized the pro mode is a bit too much for it? It might be worth trying to turn the sensitivity down to see if that helps with depth. Sort of like using your brights in fog car analogy.

The other thing, I wonder if the slower recovery speed of the standard mode has anything to do with your observations? Though, in regular ground I think people have said the pro mode is more powerful.

I'm going to have to try STD mode and see what happens. I've only used PRO mode but I've dug lots of coins in the 10" range. I've noticed the good depth especially at tot lots where I dig even the faintest signals. I've dug quite a few very deep targets in tot lots that apparently all my other detectors has missed. Several coins that were below 6-7" of sand/wood chips and another several inches in the ground below.
