AT Pro target sound problem need help.

Took my AT Pro to the beach, and I thought something was wrong, I scan a nickel it gives me a iron signal, I scan a pull tab it gives me a high coin signal , scan a bottle cap it barely gives me any signal. Anyone had this problem? I'm taking it back tomorrow if he's open and try another at pro coil, if it does the same, i guess i send it in, Thanks, Gene

Well mine started getting high signals on the newer tabs and some other different sigs I wasnt used to , so I replaced my old recharchables and it was back to norm . If you cant get a good signal on a bottle cap thats a red flag. Hope it gets fixed, especially if U have some places U want to go hunting

Check for sand between the coil cover. Try new batteries.

Thanks very much guys, I took it back to the dealer where I bought it, and we tried a coil off a new unit and the detector worked like a charm, so it was a defective coil. He told me to keep the new coil and he'll send back the bad one. Frank is a super nice guy to do that, most dealers would just have you send in your own coil and wait the two weeks. So thanks to his kindness I'm back on the trail of that elusive gold and silver. Thanks again for you help. Gene
